Walk of fame

If I mention the " walk of Fame" you may assosiate it with Hollywood and the celeb lifestlye. Oh, you are so wrong! I just discovered that Coventry also has a star promenade dedicated to the city's famous citizens. Maybe these names are not as shiny as the ones in Los Angeles, but it's good to touch these stars, like the one of Frank Whittle. Do you remember him?

Ha azt mondom, "Hírességek sétánya" fogadjunk mindenki rögtön Hollywoodra gondol és a sok sztárra, akik nyomják a kezük az agyagba. Pedig Coventrynek is van egy saját csillagsora, amely a város híres szülötteivel van teleszórva. Jó, elismerem - magyar szemmel nézve ezek totálisan ismeretlen nevek. Én is csak Frank Whittle nevét ismertem fel, a többi mind sötét folt. Korábban nem hallottam sem Philip Larkin költőről, sem a The Specials nevű együttesről. De azért jó érzés látni ezeket a csillagokat. Itt, a földön. Közöttünk.
